About

The studio behind 150,000 learners.

We built learning experiences inside Airbus — for employees, suppliers, and partners across one of the most complicated organisations on the planet. Then we set up on our own, to do the same work for anyone who wants it done properly.

Where we come from

The Right Foot Studio was built by a team with backgrounds in advertising, branding, and communication — who ended up spending years inside one of the world’s largest aerospace manufacturers, building learning.

At Airbus, we ran the studio responsible for learning experience design across the organisation: employees, supplier networks, partner companies. The subjects were complex — quality management, audit, compliance, risk, process change — and the audiences were global. We built digital courses, in-person programmes, and live sessions. We figured out, through years of actual work, what made people engage and what made them click through and forget.

We took that experience and started the studio. The independence means we can now bring that same quality — the Airbus standard, as clients sometimes call it — to any organisation that needs it.

What we believe

Storytelling and design work. When you combine good structure and beautiful design, people care more and remember more. This is not an aesthetic preference — it’s backed by research in cognitive science and business performance. McKinsey found that design leaders grow revenue at nearly twice the rate of their peers. Neuroscience research shows that story-structured content drives 261% more action than flat, fact-only content. We build on these principles in everything we do.

Complex doesn’t mean boring. Compliance, audit, quality, risk — these are genuinely important subjects. They affect how organisations operate and how people behave. They deserve the same creative effort as a consumer brand campaign. If your training reads like the compliance manual, something has gone wrong.

The learner is not a box to tick. The standard approach to compliance training is designed to prove completion, not create change. We design for change. That means asking what the learner needs to understand and do differently — and then finding the most effective way to get there.

How we work

We work as a studio, not an agency. That means a small, focused team on every project — not a large account structure where work gets passed down a hierarchy. The people you speak to at the start are the people doing the work.

Projects typically start with a discovery conversation. We learn the subject, the audience, the constraints, and what success looks like. Then we build a proposal — not a template quote, an actual proposal based on what you’ve told us. If we’re not the right fit for the brief, we’ll tell you.

We don’t leave clients hanging. If something’s not working after delivery, we fix it. We’ve seen too many L&D teams get handed a project and told to figure out the rest themselves.

What we don’t do

We don’t build template libraries dressed up as courses. We don’t build forty-slide modules with a Next button as the only interaction. We won’t tell you AI-generated courses are just as good and save you money. We won’t add you to a production line where your project is one of thirty running at the same time.

We’re a small studio. We take a small number of projects. We do them properly.

Subjects we know well

Our deepest expertise is in compliance, quality, audit, and risk — the subjects that other agencies treat as an afterthought. We also have significant experience in:

  • Supplier and partner training for complex supply chains
  • Company transformation and change communication
  • Product launch learning and enablement
  • Leadership and management development
  • Onboarding programmes for global organisations
The evidence behind our approach

Design and storytelling are not just nice to have

01

Design Pays Off 2×

Companies that are top design performers grow revenue at nearly twice the rate of their industry peers.

McKinsey & Company, “The Business Value of Design,” 2018

02

Story Drives Action

Story-structured content drove 261% more action than flat, fact-only content in controlled studies.

Paul J. Zak, Ph.D., “Why Inspiring Stories Make Us React,” Cerebrum, 2015

03

Structure Sticks

Stronger narrative structure corresponds to significantly better recall of details — including complex procedural content.

Baldassano et al., cited in Scientific American, August 2026

04

The Aesthetic Usability Effect

When something looks well-designed, people trust it more, engage with it more, and give it more benefit of the doubt when things go wrong.
